SUU Nursing Students in Brazil

This is a working itinerary and dates and activities are subject to change. Tuesday May 2  Leave Wednesday May 3 Arrive in Brazil.   Stay at Morro das Pedras Clube and Hotel.  https://morrodaspedras.com/ Thursday May 4   Orphanage/health clinic half day.  Other half of day go to the lake (Lagoa do Peri)/ play on the beach/ hike Ribeirao da Ilha.  The Lago do Peri is a freshwater lake which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel.  The beach is right behind the hotel.  The Ribeirao da Ilha hike is a strenuous hike that starts at the lake.  It goes a mile and a half up the mountain to the viewpoint that looks over Floripa, then a half mile down to the Ribeirao da Ilha neighborhood.  Can catch the bus back to the hotel.       Morro das Pedras beach Lagoa do Peri lake (on the right) Viewpoint above Ribeirao da Isla Friday May 5 Observe dental surgeries in hospitals.  Hello.  We got back from Brazil last Wednesday and I can't say that I am very happy to be back in the land of snow and ice.  Brazil was so amazing.  The people are the most amazing, but it was also so warm and green.  We would wake up in the morning and go down to the beach before breakfast most days.  It was so beautiful. Okay, this post is about where we will be staying during the trip.  The idea in the beginning had been to find an Airbnb for all of us.  We were hoping that we would have 10 students sign up.  Instead, 19 students signed up and we are also allowing 2 student spouses to come.  That's 21 students plus faculty members.  I have looked for an Airbnb that will accommodate that many people but am unable to find one and we don't want to split up into different groups and stay in different locations.   So we decided on a hotel instead.  And I found a great one.  It is called the Morro das Pedras Clube ...
